  • Eggs
  • Water

Instructions (Stovetop Method)

  1. Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
  2. Cover with cold water (about 1 inch above eggs).
  3. Bring to a rolling boil.
  4. Once boiling, turn off heat, cover, and let sit:
  • 10 minutes for fully set but tender yolks
  • 12 minutes for very firm yolks
  1. Transfer eggs immediately to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
  2. Peel or store.

Easy-Peel Tips

  • Tap, roll, and peel from the wide end (air pocket)
  • Slightly older eggs peel better
  • Add a teaspoon of baking soda or vinegar to the water (optional)

Storage

  • Unpeeled: up to 7 days refrigerated
  • Peeled: up to 3 days in an airtight container
