Hard-Boiled Eggs

Instructions (Stovetop Method)
- Place eggs in a single layer in a saucepan.
- Cover with cold water (about 1 inch above eggs).
- Bring to a rolling boil.
- Once boiling, turn off heat, cover, and let sit:
- 10 minutes for fully set but tender yolks
- 12 minutes for very firm yolks
- Transfer eggs immediately to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
- Peel or store.
Easy-Peel Tips
- Tap, roll, and peel from the wide end (air pocket)
- Slightly older eggs peel better
- Add a teaspoon of baking soda or vinegar to the water (optional)
Storage
- Unpeeled: up to 7 days refrigerated
- Peeled: up to 3 days in an airtight container
